At BalanceNorth we offer a variety of pilates classes which are suitable for a pilates novice or beginner up to an advanced level.

Our experienced instructors come from a variety of backgrounds and pride themselves on ensuring everyone has a fulfilling class experience.

reformer pilates

Reformer Pilates is done using the Pilates reformer machine and is generally more intense and more dynamic than mat based Pilates. At BalanceNorth, we are use Allegro 2 reformers. The machine adds resistance to the Pilates exercises via the use of the springs which form part of the machine. We offer a variety of classes, outlined below.

Reformer Essentials

Our Essentials class is suitable to all levels of fitness. This class uses the reformer machine and is designed to focus on alignment, posture and technique. This is a great class to learn fundamental pilates principles, or if you’re choosing to go at a slower pace.

Reformer Balance

Our signature open level class that works every part of your body.

Flow through a low-moderate intensity workout with the perfect mix of strength, balance, alignment and control to get your body moving in all planes of motion.

This class is suitable for beginners to experienced clients alike, and is the ideal place to grow, develop and finesse your Pilates practice.

Suitable for all levels and pre-natal.

Reformer Strength

Our strength and conditioning class for those days when you want to take your Pilates practice a step further.

We will guide you through a moderate intensity workout to build strength and resistance through dynamic movements, isometric work and progressions. Expect to feel challenged, empowered and energised.

Suitable for all levels and prenatal up to 16 weeks.

Reformer Renew

Our answer to yin and yang on the reformer.

The first half of the class will focus on strength and conditioning to challenge and energise you. The second half of the class will focus on restorative movements to improve flexibility, mobility and leave you feeling zen.

Clinical Pilates Pre & Post Natal

Our specialised pre and postnatal class will help to improve strength and flexibility during the various stages of pregnancy and postpartum.

We will move you through a low impact workout consisting of breathing techniques, strengthening exercises, and stretching.

Class numbers are limited to four clients so our clinically trained instructors can offer personalised guidance and modifications to ensure you feel supported, empowered and confident.

Suitable for pre and post natal.

Clinical Pilates - Rehabilitation & Strength

Our physio group exercise classes are small class groups of maximum four participants led by physiotherapists Physio-led group exercise classes are claimable with your private health insurance cover. Class sizes are limited to four clients so our clinically trained instructors can offer personalised guidance and modifications to ensure you feel supported, enpowered and confident.
