Jack Qin

Physiotherapist, Accredited Exercise Physiologist & Clinical Pilates (Clinical Exercise) Instructor

Jack (he/him) is a Senior Physiotherapist and ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist. He graduated from a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree, holds a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology and has extensive experience in Vestibular rehabilitation, clinical exercise and chronic disease management.

Vestibular Physiotherapy: Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) is a form of physical therapy designed to reduce dizziness, unsteadiness, and the risk of falls. One common condition that causes dizziness is Benign Paroxysmal Position Vertigo (BPPV), often triggered by the dislodgment of otoconia (“crystals”) in the inner ear. Jack is specially trained in this field and uses Vesticam goggles to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective, targeted treatment.

Exercise Physiology: Jack is an accredited Exercise Physiologist with more than 10 years of experience in the field. Working with an expert who understands your current physical health, capabilities, any medications you may be taking, and who can integrate your care and exercise program with your other health professionals is crucial for your safety and progress.

Post-Op Rehab: Jack has experience in musculoskeletal health and orthopedic surgery rehabilitation. He previously worked at a public hospital, where he helped patients recover from orthopedic surgeries and return to their daily activities and work through customised rehabilitation programs.

Sports Injuries/Return-to-play: Jack recently completed an Advanced Strength and Conditioning course at the University of Western Australia and has been consistently participating in Judo and Rugby. This has given him a deep and thoughtful understanding of how to help injured athletes safely and efficiently return to their sports.

Kristina Christou

Clinical Psychologist

Kristina is a clinical psychologist who believes that therapy isn’t just for when things are hard – it’s for anyone who wants to understand themselves better, feel more in control of their life, or improve their relationships. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or just want to make a change but don’t know where to start. Whatever brings you to therapy, Kristina works to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported to explore what truly matters to you.

Kristina has worked in private practice and public mental health, primarily with eating disorders, but she has a passion for supporting people through a broader range of challenges. At Balance North, Kristina sees adults and older adolescents navigating anxiety, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, burn out and emotional regulation. She finds the most rewarding part of her work to be helping build self-understanding and self-compassion, and witnessing those moments when clients take meaningful steps towards the life they want.

Kristina’s approach is flexible and down-to-earth, knowing that therapy should feel like a good fit for each individual. She draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy, always tailoring sessions to meet the unique needs of each person.

Above all, Kristina hopes clients feel comfortable brining their full selves into therapy. She balances warmth and professionalism with a touch of humour, believing that while therapy can be deep and challenging, it can also be a place of relief, connection, and even the occasional laugh.
