Medicare provides rebates for physiotherapy and dietetics appointments if you are able to access a “chronic disease management” or EPC plan from your GP. This referral will allow you to access up to five sessions at a reduced cost. Please note that a gap payment still applies. Please bring in your physical Medicare care and an EFTPOS card to receive the rebate.

Depending on your level of cover, many BalanceNorth services can be claimed on private health insurance, with the exception of non-physio led reformer pilates classes. Claims can be processed at the time of appointment through HICAPS so the client only needs to pay the gap payment.

Speak to the friendly team at reception or your practitioner during your consultation or contact your private health insurer to determine your level of cover.

Wellbeing Appointments & Clinical Exercise: Should any patient cancel or not attend a scheduled appointment without providing 24 hours’ notice, a fee equal to 50% of the consultation fee will be charged. People who repeatedly miss or reschedule appointments will regretfully be discharged from care.

Pilates Reformer Classes: Cancellations for pilates reformer classes must be made more than 6 hours from the class time to qualify for a credit of the class. Cancellations for pilates classes made within 6 hours of the class time will not qualify for a credit or refund of the class.

Class cancellation must be made via the Mindbody Online website or app a minimum of six hours before all classes. Cancellations made via phone, Facebook, Instagram, email or phone will not be accepted. Cancellations made outside this window will forfeit the class pass (if booked casually or using a class pack) or incur a $10 Late Cancellation fee (if booked using an unlimited membership pass). A No-Show fee of $15 will be incurred for failing to attend a class booked on an unlimited membership pass. If you hold an unlimited membership pass, your first Late Cancellation or No-Show for the month will be waived.

Each injury, condition or case presents differently for each individual and we are unable to give a specific number of sessions prior to consultation.

However, at the end of your first consultation your practitioner will provide an outline of your treatment plan and anticipated sessions needed after a thorough assessment.

Balance North practitioners do not believe in over-treating conditions and aim to assist you in an efficient manner.

You do not need to bring anything with you. However, if you have any relevant medical notes (including x-ray/ scan reports, medical referral letters, surgical reports), please bring this to your appointment as it will help the practitioner gain a better understanding of your health and implement a treatment plan.

For movement classes and physio appointments, we advise wearing comfortable and loose-fitting or exercise-type clothing.

For physiotherapy examinations you may be asked to expose the injured area to allow for assessment. We advise wearing shorts for all lower limb injuries. At Balance North, your modesty and comfort are important to us and to be respected at all times.

Yes, you can book your appointment online through our Appointments Page or alternatively contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment over the phone (86574922).

Wellbeing Appointments: If you are running late, please let the studio centre know as soon as possible by calling 8657 4922. The practitioner may be able to replan their diary to accommodate you or reschedule your session to another time.

We request that you let the clinic know if you cannot make an appointment to allow good diary management for our staff and help us avoid having to turn clients away when our diaries are fully booked. Missed appointments are an inconvenience to the clinic and other clients wishing to book in for a session. Please read our late note policy for more information.

Reformer Pilates Classes: Class entry closes 5 minutes after the scheduled class time. This is to ensure your safety, and to minimise disruption to other class participants.
